The Festival of Roses | A Trip to Kazanlak | BG

Situated in the Valley of Roses – a relatively large region in the middle of Bulgaria – the town of Kazanlak is one of the major producers of rose oil for around 150 years, extracted from the petals of the Rose Damascena. Because growing roses and producing rose oil has been the livelihood of the entire area for so long, here is held annually the Festival of Roses, and today I invite you to take part of this event.

Lovely festival, seems very warm in essence. I've heard that they have chocolate with rose water in Bulgaria.

Anyways, I dream of being in a garden full of roses. Smells like paradise!
