At least 59 killed in North Macedonia nightclub fire

A massive fire tore through an overcrowded nightclub in North Macedonia on March 16, 2025, killing 59 people and injuring 155 in a chaotic escape during a live concert. The tragedy focused national attention on corruption in the small Balkan country as authorities detained more than a dozen people. The death toll may rise further, with at least 20 of the injured in critical condition, according to Health Minister Arben Taravari. The government has declared seven days of national mourning.

Who still remember the news last year in iraq, wedding event end with fire disaster, killing almost 100 people, because of the same fireworks, and similiarly only one door for enter and exit

What idiots let off fireworks inside a small building??Fireworks should only in the open and lit by an authorized firework trained professional with all safety and risk assessment procedures in place.And only lit at a safe distance from any people.One safety exit in the small club? where are the building inspectors? What was the building made of?Obviously not fire prof material.
So sad people are exposed to such mindless careless idiots.

Indoor pyrotechnics in crowded night clubs had caused fires before and many lives were lost. Seems like people don't remember or don't learn from other people's mistakes.

The clip of it beginning bears so much similarity to the The Station nightclub fire beginnings that it gives me chills. When will we ever learn from the past? No pyrotechnics indoors!

Same as Ozone Disco in the Philippines in which 162 people died and injured 95 others. That was happened on March 18, 1996. Rest in peace to all the victims.

Setting aside the fireworks inside, the real problem was only one exit for all these people. It may as well been an electrical fire, not one caused by fireworks. For a place to be this crowded it requires a proper amount of emergency exits.

These same fireworks caused a similar tragedy here in Brasil, on the Kiss night club. This was a entirely preventable tragedy, my heart goes ou to the victimes. I know that nothing will bring back the dead, but i hope justice will be served.

Similar thing happened in the Ozone Disco in the Philippines in 1996 where 162 died. The door can only be pulled from the inside, but people were rushing and panicking, and they couldn't pull the door due to the people crowding the doorway

You can pay the bribe but you can't pay to cut a couple exits in the building? It's beyond comprehension that you can own a club at risk of burning and fill it over capacity all while permitting the use of pyrotechnics inside. All while knowing the nightclub fires that have killed hundreds of people under the same EXACT circumstances for the last 100 years? Will people ever learn? UNREAL.
