Okay added Blitzed to my want to read list! Holes is one of my son, Sam's, favorite books of all time! He would check out the play away at the library and listen to it over and over again! Sam and I loved Bud not Buddy and The One and Only Ivan. We did them as audiobooks in the car! I DNFd Damnation Spring (there is a spoilery reason on goodreads if you want to see a trigger warning). I am reading Snow Flower and the secret fan right now. The German Wife is on my historathon stack for this month. We will see if I get to it 😛! One Thousand White Women is on my shelf to read! I want to read Diamond Eye as well!

I read The Kline book a long time ago. I can't quite recall my thoughts on it, bought it's not about the art world, as such.

The Choice is the most beautiful book, read it during the pandemic and I will never forget it.

I loved holes. My son had to read a chapter every night for school and i got hooked on it. It came to the movie theater near us and we went see it. We enjoyed the movie just as much as the book.

Love Jon Krakauer and Rebecca Skloot. Bad Blood sounds interesting. I have Midnight in Chernobyl, The Choice, The Last Flight, The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane and The Boy in the Striped Pajamas on my TBR shelf too. 🙌🏻 Holes 💙

Fantastic haul, Gloria! I hope you enjoy the Ivan book and the sequel about his best friend Bob. I would recommend the audiobooks! The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas is so moving; today for historathon I started The Librarian of Auschwitz which also centres on the children in the camps. I’m very keen to hear what you think of Diamond Eye 😊📚

I loved True Biz but maybe because I was a little familiar with the controversy involved in the story before starting to read it. It would be great paired with Andrew Sullivan’s Far From the Tree. I was unable to finish Damnation Spring.

The One and Only Ivan is good. Read that with my son a few years ago.

Kate DiCamillo has become a more modern children classic author. The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by her is great.

The lipstick color is a good color for you. I am trying to get into non-fiction but it's just not working for me right now. I'm not in the mood. I am in the mood to read a 5 historical fiction. I hoping to find one this month. So far I'm really enjoying The Souls of Lost Lake by Jaime Jo Wright. I can't put it down. I'm hoping it's a 5.

I love your bookhaul videos- we have such similar tastes that any I don’t own I usually end up ordering from the library. Those are my two fave genres too.
