This series he played kinda ass but I think his ranged ad carries mid were not as bad as people say he is, I mean respectfully his ADCs are probably still better than faker's...
IMO the real reason was the one the rat king always talked about: showmaker was not selfish enough, and he will be 100 cs down 30 minutes in.
At the end of the day a mid laner is still a carry position, especially with ranged ADCs meta, where clue is literally in the name, ranged AD CARRIES
His in game mechanics is definitely worse than his world champion form but it's not like he is just garbage nowadays. He's still a good mid laner but he's just always down in CS which leads to his items were also behind.

And I mean this is understandable, lets use the game against FOX few days ago as example: It's not like if he builds rabadons and he will just kill everyone and solo carry, he's still on ta liyah and DK doesn't really need him to do the damage in that game. I also think this is why he is successful with his TF when he picked it a few times this split, his macro did win them the game.
It's just this shit doesn't really work with ADC mid meta, you need the farm, you need to do damage.

Too bad I don't think ADC mid meta will be completely gone by the time we reach worlds, but as soon as mages and roamer is playable I think they can still do good at worlds
