this will work for c# programs possibly vb too . they're not very well protected

I'm confused. You always hear about "so and so stole the source code" as if the compiled source is uncrackable. What if u dont want people to see your code? how do microsoft and apple do it? like, how are sofware keys extracted? If code can be hidden in Windows and Mac, can it also be hidden in Linux? Is there some weird 'on the fly' encription? are most hybrids? like what about certain assets of a game that u want kept secret but need to be high performance. u cant encrypt the entire thing. idk
