♥️ Gary Thomas ♥️ + M-Base musicians like Steve Colemam (, S.a), Geri Allen (p.), Cassandra Wilson (Warm Voice), ect...

Indeed an underrated masterpiece, I say this is one of the greatest 'Jazz Standards' albums of all time, the opening 'Angel Eyes' w/ Gary Thomas, Anthony Cox, Terri Lynne Carrington, the incredibly underrated Tim Murphy on piano and the guitar giant Pat Metheny is something else, the intro a la 'Trane & Elvin' by GT and TLC is killer, then come awesome solos: Cox, Metheny, Murphy and Thomas. Hearing Pat w/ distortion is refreshing (coz be barely ever uses it) and here he plays some of his greatest solos of all time. The album is one foot on the tradition and the other on pure boundless harmonic, rhythmic and melodic adventures. Thanks so much for sharing.
