My friend got a note 8 and he is regretting. The battery life sucks on that phone even when it was new. So i went with the mate 10 pro and i am amazed by its battery performance. It's the king of flagship battery

This is the only phone that's actually excited me in the last 2 generations and I can't even get it yet. I'm going to need a phone soon and I'll be pretty pissy if I have to settle for something else.
I can't be more disappointed about the s9/plus. I hate the camera so much. The color looks so washed out and the shadows so blown out that it lacks any depth. It's like it has a instagram filter over it.

Excellent and thrustworthy comparison. After checking sample pictures in the internet, the only thing holding me back from the p20 pro is the over sharpening and excessive contrast of the processed pictures. I am wondering if these can be adjusted .

It is crazy to me how some people switch phones so frequently.I get a new one like every, 5 years. Do you sell your old one or what do you do with it?

For most people you will loose a great speaker, Bluetooth 5.0, 32bit headphone jack, better screen, great video shot ip68 to 67, sd card slot, wireless charge, but you'll get a bit better photo on p20 pro, you got an ir blaster, bettery battery and we have no idea the glass is GG5 or not on p20 pro....

Don't be dumb the Huawei phone runs at the lower resolution that galaxy s9 so technically if you switch the galaxy to lower res u get some battery life I've gotten up to 8 hours on mine

I have a P20 Pro. First disappointed, regretting not getting the galaxy S9 plus which takes the best pictures in my opinion. But then I tried pro mode 40mega photo adjusting only ISO and the result is much better than regular 40mega on normal mode with all this silly sharpening. Plus the zoom is incredible and nothing beats the night mode. The P20 has larger battery, I don't play demanding games and my headphones are Bluetooth, a memory stick solves the problem of storage and I believe a curved screens like in the galaxy can break more easily and more expensive to replace. (Put a shortcut to access and delete raw 76MB images and just keep the converted ones).

I get 6-8 hours of on-screen time with the Snapdragon S9+ . It looks like the Exynos one has issues!

Think the review should advise p20 cannot take 16:9 photos and have to recrop photo while the s9+can None of the reviewers mention this in any of the videos.

Just to be clear peeps the camera on the P20 Pro is this set up - 40-megapixel RGB with a large 1/1.7in sensor at f/1.8, 20MP monochrome at f/1.6, 8MP 3x optical zoom with OIS at f/2.4

5 month old and battery performance is worst I ever seen
I use powermode..hd resolution..not use data all time my phone is on airplane mode bcoz I have mi a1 as my daily driver..
I used S7 only for multimedia like YouTube & watching movies tv shows..
I really regret
Snapdragon version is better
Why u choose this version over snapdragon?

On a UK phone contract comparison site the P20 Pro on a two year contract is around 200 pounds cheaper than the S9 plus. If the S9 is anything like the S8 screen repairs will also be extortionate.
If the phones are comparable the cost saving is persuasive.

I can't say I'm surprised about the Samsung battery life, I have a Samsung S3 frontier smart watch and after a recent software update the battery life tanked. Samsung had to replace the battery under warranty in the end. The forums are full of Samsung smart watch battery issues.
