Watched Oldboy in a theater last night, and judging by the reaction of the audience (most of whom probably already had seen it or at least knew what was coming), the movie hasn't lost an ounce of its power in the last two decades.

I think it's safe to say that this is the scene that inspired so many action scenes afterwards, you can't even count them anymore. Park Chan-Wook, the influence you have on creators is incredible and unmatched!

I absolutely adore Park Chan Wook and have done so for well over a decade. He's incredibly eloquent and purposeful in describing his art as I am sure he is when making it due to how great all his movies have consistently been. Oldboy not only holds up, in a way rewatching it after many years gives it a depth of perspective that I simply did not have the first time around. Director of all time <3

Throughout all the films he directed, I see him showing his affection subtly and delicately towards the humans who are never perfect.

I'll never forget what an impact "Oldboy" made on me. As soon as that beautiful intro music score started playing, I was hooked. This video made me remember all the moments of total surprise/shock that I will never get to experience again in quite the same way when I'll rewatch "Oldboy". But next time I'll revisit this movie, I'll appreciate it even more thanks to this video.

I had the pleasure of seeing Oldboy for the first time in theaters for the movie’s 20th anniversary. Such a disturbing masterpiece. I love the one-shot hallway scene especially, considering how many over-cut fight scenes there typically are in a lot of movies. Probably the single most well put together fight scene in film history.
