Maharashtra rains: Flood-like situation in Pune, Mumbai, Thane

Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar on Thursday held a press conference in Pune to address heavy rainfall induced flood in various parts of the state.
Kolhapur, Satara, Sangali, Pune, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Palghar, Thane and Mumbai are experiencing flood-like situation due to incessant rainfall in the state.
Addressing the conference, Pawar said, authorities are on the ground and taking all necessary precautions.
"Army, NDRF, SDRF, Pune Corporation, PMRDA, Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation and all other corporation are on alert. Our officers are on the field, wherever, people are stranded they are being evacuated," he said.
He also requested people to not panic.
Four rain related death has been reported in Pune.
