The base model iPhone is pretty much the less celebrated iPhones every release, but people will always look for a smarter and cheaper options and so this phone will always be on the conversation. And for the past 3 years, iPhone isn't innovating the design and look of the iPhones, although the camera holes are different, but it will be the same square shape camera module evertime! Apple shakes the design a little bit on the iPhone 16 lineup and provided the base and the Plus model with a different kind of look that obviously people will recognize your holding the latest phone! Once Apple puts a new refresh rate in base model iPhones I think people will move on to sound quality and touch sampling rate; there's always something to complain about.

Not worth upgrading from iPhone 15 it's all the same except camera button and cameras and new processor. All iPhones run the same don't care about the cameras
