Liopleurodon is an extremely ferocious reptile like sea predator that was alive during middle of the Jurassic period. Liopleurodon was so biologically advanced because of its razor sharp demon like crocodile and because unlike other predators at that time it had extra flippers to hunt victims who would try to runaway. While running away from a Liopleurodon is almost statistically impossible due to its extra flaps, Liopleurodon had to consume much much more because those flappers use so much energy. Calories in calories out is all that mattered in these primal times. Liopleurodon was around 2200 to 3700 pounds on average and averaged 16 to 23 feet in length. Liopleurodon Species was known as Pliosauroidea Also known as group of short-necked Plesiosaurs which existed in the regions that now comprise Europe. Liopleurodon was a certain type of marine reptile instead of a dinosaur regardless though it coexisted with many dinosaurs. Even though Liopleurodon was NOT a dinosaur, this prehistoric sea creature was NOT a monster you would want to share the ocean with due to the fact that Liopleurodon was carnivores just like a wild tiger in the sense that this beast would be extremely dangerous and deadly to humans. This is the reason you should be thankful that this species died out in Callovian stage of the Middle Jurassic Period. Liopleurodon mainly ate Kimmerosaurus as its primary diet which looked like the sea version of the long-neck. However this reptile had sinister an vicious appearance, you know the type of appearance you don't want to think about before bedtime. I find tracing prehistory historical events and fossils of the crazy cool looking prehistoric sea creatures all fascinating.
