Ben is a great teacher and a great chess player and I like his sense of humor but I don't respect him at all. He grew up rich in a first world country, he doesn't look after himself physically, even though there is nothing stopping him from doing so, and he chooses to spend time in Las Vegas. It doesn't matter how good you are at chess, you can still behave like a moron. In fact, spending time getting good at chess is a bad way to spend your life.
Bobby Fischer is the best chess player because he stopped, invented a more fair version of chess, and he's openly antisemitic and pro-palestine, which is a far better way to live your life.
