Who Is LBG ?
I am an older gamer who has been gaming on and off since the days of the Sega Mega Drive. Got back into gaming a lot more in the last decade with games like Assassin's Creed II/Far Cry 3 and also because other forms of entertainment no longer appeal to me. I prefer trying out all sorts of games. I am most fascinated by unique Indie or AA games like 'Return Of The Obra Dinn' Or 'Greedfall' or 'Vermintide 2' but will also happily play more mainstream titles like Resident Evil 2 or Shadow Of The Tomb Raider.

GOG is better when you have terrible internet or bad weather. Also GOG Galaxy is truly amazing. This all felt like the true freedom of gaming, you never feel this with Steam. I do like Steam but GOG I always respected more. You also get some nice extras for a lot of their games too.

My main cons is the regional pricing. The price is too expensive for me to start collecting games in GoG.

I havent used gog yet but now that i actually looked at what they have, i almost cried seeing games i havent played since i was a kid. Police quest, day of the tentacle, descent, lords of the realm, x wing vs tie fighter, heretic, hexen, quake, doom, fallout 1 2 and tactics, vampire the masquerade, etc etc etc. I have like 35 games in my cart 😅. I never thought id ever get to own these games again 😢

All singleplayer games i get on GOG and multiplayer/live service games i get on steam. GOG is GOAT imo. Only place you own the game

If a game isn't on Gog I simply don't buy it UNLESS steam has it for under $5. I can only justify a rental under $5. I'm really hoping more developers and studios realize them as a more viable platform for their games. The only downside to anything from GoG is the versions of games they recieve and the seemingly limited version updates.

why don't you ask them for localization, as paying from different countries the exchange rate is huge and it is difficult to pay even using credit card?

The only game I bought on GOG was Witcher III complete edition. Other games I got there from free giveaways on store or from prime gaming. Unfortunately there are not many games that interest me ( naval combat simulation games ) on GOG but yeah, recommend it to everyone !

Yeah, regional pricing would be the icing on the cake for GoG. Maybe they bring it in sooner than later.

I really wanted GOG to be my main gaming platform. I even went through my whole Steam wishlist and removed the games available on GOG, with the intention of slowly letting GOG become my main storefront.

Then the Steam Deck happened.

I just want to play everything on that thing. Although I can get my GOG games running on it, it's annoying. It's just so seamless and easy when the games are on Steam. Also my bank seems to hate GOG for some reason. Every time I make a purchase, they lock my account until I call them and verify my identity and confirm that it was me that bought Cyberpunk.
