I listen to you, at my reloading bench.
It reminds me of when I was little, 50 some years ago, sitting in the kitchen, with my Grandpa, listening to a good radio program.
Grandpa would shush me & say, be quiet & you might learn something.
LOL 😂
I do learn something at every listen, so thank you for that, but mostly, I enjoy hearing you articulate, the things I already know & feel.

Everything I have learned about this subject is very important. You have explained this better than anybody else agoing. I'm saving every video that you have made and deleting all the rest, because you are the best teacher I have ever seen. Straight to the point and no bologna.
Thank you sir for your experience and expertise.

Mr Selby, you are a true pleasure to listen and learn from. I have been watching your videos since I found your channel and you are an absolute treasure. I truly feel like there are those people who have an amazing amount of knowledge and experience far above the rest. I feel like there a wealth of knowledge that has been lost over the years that was never passed on by those who possess such knowledge. But you sir are obviously inherently knowledgeable of the things you have a passion for. Even though I don't hunt the same part of the country as you nor hunt the same game I absolutely love your approach to hunting and your obvious passion for it. You are a person I would pay money to to sit down and talk with. Thank you!

I am 66 y.o. now and I have also been a Smith for about 40 years now. I am kinda retired now but still mess with just anything and everything still but on my own pace. The man here is truly a really knowledgeable man when it comes to the overall gun knowledge. He has probably forgotten more than most people will ever know about shooting. When it comes to tightening screws, he probably has run into the most commonly found item when somebody brings you a gun to work on and that is loose screws and improperly mounted equipment by half assed gunsmiths that don't take pride in their work or have never been properly trained and have no apprenticeship while they learn from a master. A lot of so called Smiths get a certificate and hang it on the wall and get a bunch of catalogs and go into business like that. Beware of these overnight gun shops, that is where you will get a gun ruined.

Definitely one of the best channels on this subject.
Perhaps the best.
No BS.

I have had the rifle to scope mount relationship conversation trying to convince others that a canted rifle due to scope and rifle not being aligned on the same plane does matter. Now hearing this from an expert I know it does matter and issues will be seen beyond 100 yards. Thank you Randy for all your knowledge sharing!

Randy, Sir you are a rare breed to say the least. Wish there where more like you. I have spent a life time trying to explain reloading and precision shooting to friends and relatives. In one ear out the other. I hope you have someone that you are passing down all your knowledge to. Keep up the great videos they are very informative. Thank you.

I learned by watching my Dad, talking to people, listening to people and reading. I will try to watch and listen to more of your videos.

I just want to let you know that you are like going to firearms school when I watch your videos. That was worded poorly. I really enjoy learning on a practical and proven level that you provide. Straightforward no junk filler information just to the point. One day when my YouTube channel has grown and I’ve been more successful I’m going to hopefully sit down with you and talk shop for a couple hours. It would be like going shooting with Paul Harrel.

Excellent talk Randy. Thank you sir for putting in the time to try and bring your knowledge of shooting to us.  I respect you for that cause you certainly don't have to.  I know that it's the love of shooting and teaching that drives you.

At 11 and a half minutes you talked about hot loads in a hot rifle. Now and then we have learning experiences- I had a load worked up for deer shooting in November, had my 8 x 57 shooting Nosler 180 grain ballistic tips around 2850fps. Next summer we had some crop damage permits so I thought I would check my loads for summer time. My bullets were in the dash of the truck (very hot) and the chrono showed about 3200fps. I thought my chron0 was broke, shot a couple more. they all agreed pretty much, so I was done shooting. Couldn't believe the bolt worked, no obvious pressure signs, but made me think about what happened. I don't recall what powder I was using at the time, probably IMR 4320, but I started looking for powder that claimed to be more temperature stable.
