Famous spy found dead in prison

Robert Hanssen, a former FBI agent who spied for Russia, was found dead in prison on Monday. His leaks to Moscow were dubbed “possibly the worst intelligence disaster in U.S. history” by the FBI. #shorts #fbi #intelligence

He also worked in counterintelligence. When the FBI started suspecting there's a mole in the bureau HE was appointed to lead the investigation into it. Talk about a dog chasing its own tail!

One of the ways the FBI realised that Hanssen was the mole was when an analyst discovered that he had a habit of saying "purple-pissin Japanese", which was what the mole also said quite often.

He was an awful person, even outside of the treachery, I remember when he got caught and it came out that he had also been recording his wife in their home for years without her knowledge, not only was he selling state secrets he was also selling sex tapes of himself and his wife and she had no idea. Meanwhile, he was very prominent in the Catholic Church and attended mass every Sunday, worked with several charities, basically had the model Catholic family, when everything about what he did to his wife came out she stopped going to church because she couldn’t bear to face her community now that they knew about the sex tapes, the congregation supported her tried to encourage her to come back but she was so humiliated that she became a recluse. He also got caught with his sugar baby who was a stripper from Quantico, and he had actually spent a lot of the money and diamonds that he got from the USSR on his mistress, and when confronted about the affair he claimed that he only spent so much time and money on her because he was just trying to convert her to Catholicism the whole time, he was playing the long game apparently 🙄
