After this girl bought some crystal candy she came across a problem she definently wasn't expecting... But did she get scammed?

It's accurate. The majority of their flavors are bland or just unnatural. Too expensive for their lack of quality control

I bought from this brand once. It took about a month to get to me, even though the packaging says that it wasn’t any good after 14 days. The packaging also said that there can be no humidity around the can because it will mess it up. None of the candies tasted good. I didn’t want to waste my money so I forced myself to eat them all. Also, they have no form of customer service.

i can agree that silky gems literally just pays people to say only good things. if you read reviews on people who actually had to pay for it, NONE of them are good. their flavors are so faint and bland and they’re so so overpriced.. remember rock candy? that takes longer then crystal candy to make / solidify and they are legit a dollar to 50 cents IN ANY CANDY STORE

I absolutely have no clue which ingredients are put into these crystal candies, but some people are genetically sensitive to certain tastes (for example cilantro tasting like soap to them or stevia like metal). And the same goes for artificial sweeteners or flavors; some people find them absolutely revolting. It could be possible that since ALL crystal candies tasted like soap to this woman, that there's an ingredient in them which her taste buds picked up as bitter. Or maybe the crytsal candy company didn't clean their candy making equipment thoroughly and some soap residue got into the candies (which would be a big food safety and manufacturing issue).

For the people curious, What she means by soap is her saying it tastes like what dish soap or other cleaning products smell like, Once had peeps that tasted like the smell of fabuloso, Which isnt bad its just a very unnatural feeling

My sister and I bought this a few months ago to try, we weren't a fan of the weird texture but the flavors were pretty good. Won't be buying it again tho

I have flavor issues and beast tasted perfectly fine to me, it was more of the texture that was an issue

Ive tried silky gem crystal candy and i thought it was pretty good. Some of the flavors weren't great but i liked some of them. They definitely aren't strong flavors and they go more for floral and light flavors so if you like strong flavors it probably wont be for you. Admittedly it is the only brand of those candies ive tried so i cant compare it to other companies but it wasn't bad and mine definitely didnt taste like soap.

Fell for it too...paid over 40$ waited a month for them to arrive and majority tasted off and the soap taste was for real. I did enjoy two of them and the texture was nice..not worth the hype tho for sure

From what I have heard, the crunchy layer is wax and you aren’t supposed to eat it. You eat the stuff inside and spit the wax out afterwards

I bought some of these and yes they tasted like soap and not only that but my opinion on them was that the texture was so nast i had to spit them out it was nasty and i couldnt handle it
