He’s a GENIUS for letting her use the song. I hate to say it, but that “cover” was how I got into tame impala. When I found out it was a cover, I listened to the original track. Then I listened to all of currents. Then Lonerism. Now I’m obsessed w Kevin Parker and can’t wait to see him on tour!!!

I found out about Tame Impala in 2016 because of Rihanna's cover, and I'm not ashamed. I love Kevin's version more, and I've since become a superfan and just saw Tame Impala perform live last Friday and it was incredible. Thank you Rihanna for having good taste and for bringing me to this literal God of music.

I'm glad Tame Impala won that award. Eagles of Death Metal would've probably won it due to what happened in Paris but then Jesse got the band disqualified by telling the French media that he simply learnt nothing from his near death experience
