6. Digital Foundry stated that every Xbox one game will have some base improvements on the Scorpio regardless of whether it gets a patch or not. Quote:

"Scorpio will run absolutely all Xbox One games better, whether they get patched with 4K/Scorpio enhanced modes or not. I can fully respect Microsoft this generation they have listened to nearly every request and brought backwards compatibility to the system for free and these are the words of someone who doesn't own a Xbox and instead bought the money-grabbing scrooge station. The only silly thing Microsoft did was allow their exclusives on PC thus making the console irrelevant but even that was a fan request, Keep up the good work MS and don't make this console the windows 10 of the living room.

none of this matters because it has no exclusives... you can play anything that's on Xbox, on PC. All you need is a PS and a PC. Maybe a Switch. And you're all sorted gaming wise.

It sounds impressive, but I gotta see it in action before I'm completely sold on it. Backwards compatibility is always great. Now just gotta see how it'll handle recent/new releases.

Everyone keeps saying "Oh, but no exclusives".. You fools, the console ain't even out yet. Give it some months and I guarantee you some BIG exclusives will be announced. Even aside from that, the cross-platform games will now have better performance on scorpio so it DOES matter. All the PS4 fanboys say it doesn't matter but their console is now the weaker of the two. Funny how before all they would ever say is .... "PS4 HAS MORE POWER" Now who's laughing!

I'm a little lost here...I thought the Xbox 1S was technically a 4K res console but there aren't any games in 4K yet ? Or is the 4K on the 1S just for the blu ray player ?

When talking about TFLOPS, isn't it a 30% improvement of performance compared to the PS4 Pro, instead of just PS4?

I read a bunch of comments about exclusives. so sony fans, here is why you should care:
1. it is easier to make a game for a more powerful system. this isn't just microsoft showing off hardware. this is them flexing in front of developers asking "interested in making games for us?"
2. developers are more likely to make games exclusively for a system if more people have it. if microsoft can get enough people to buy a scorpio, the games will come
3. this can run games that the PS4 pro can't handle
so while Sony has the advantage on game exclusives at this point, they might not have that advantage in the future.
(My biggest purchase I ever regretted was my xbox. So don't call me an xbox fanboy)

Cool specs. That said, I've got an original PS4 (granted, with an upgraded HDD) that suits me just fine. Neither the PS4 Pro nor Project Scorpio is really all that compelling unless you're looking to jump into VR or you're into chasing specs.
