I've been using those plastic stands since I got the ps5 slim. They work perfectly really.. But that's because I don't spend too much time shaking the hell out of my console.

As someone with a phat ps5 set vertical with the oem stand, it would've made sense if the guy was charging a controller if he wanted to shake things up

That's why one end looks like the bottom, and the other end is obviously the top. It's made standard for vertical standing.

Just ordered a pair. I don't know what Sony was thinking with these little clips. Even with the little rubberized feet, it still slides on my glass TV stand when I plug or unplug cables. Very annoying. Hopefully this solves that little problem.

The detachable disc drive was a good idea. That way if the motor burns out you Just throw out the detachment and buy a new one vs ripping thru the entire console to have repaired

One more thing. if you look closely you can see that the stand isn’t even seated properly into the ps5 hence the wobble.

If the stand was seated properly in the ps5 the ps5 wouldn’t wobble so violently

All the stand does is support the top half of the console since the disc drive supports the majority of the weight already.

The clear stand works just fine but if you shake you console like an earthquake you should buy the skates

With my personal experience with the ps5 slim horizontal stand it doesn’t wobble that much and is actually more sturdy than my original ps5 phat’s official stand. 😬 If it’s such a concern then either buy the official vertical stand or set it in the vertical position without the stand.
