I used to play this game quite a lot in my elementary school. And I personally like the original version the best without the special spaces.

This is a game my brother and I played a lot as kids. However, that was a previous version, so it didn't have the double trouble rule you mentioned here.. When we played, we didn't have the rule where rolling a 1 meant everybody else took a piece out of their home zone. Instead, we just skipped a turn or moved one of our own pieces one space. Were we doing it wrong? If so, we're in trouble! (Pun intended.)

Use dozens of different Boards using very similar rules.
PRINT YOUR OWN.
Make up your own house rules.

Boring game. Go play Sorry instead. It’s basically the same thing but with cards instead of a dice, and the different numbers on the cards have various game play rules that make the game MUCH more fun and interesting to play.
