You actually need the damage counters to accumulate damage on targets over the rounds (as I understand, though I'm yet to play)

I don’t think I’m rushing out now, this is a Friday pickup when I want a new 2 player game for the weekend. :D Although now I really want to play Armada again, that’s such a fun ship battle game, I honestly enjoy the WW1 aircraft one over X-Wing, but Armada is so unique.

The game is unbalanced in favor of rebels. The force should not be in the rebel side. Rebels only have Luke and empire has Vader and Palpatine. And cards for the empire heavily depend on the presence of certain cards. It is very hard to win if you are the empire.

I'm worried this is just a clone of 2-player base Star Realms. Is it multi-player as they did with Hero Realms and the new KS editions of Star Realms?

There is nothing of the last trilogy that resonated with me. Not a single joyful memory. Disney squeezed the fun out, it's too money focused
