Love Jones Record Store Scene

I feel the word melancholy is best captured in one of my favorite movies, Love Jones, and more specifically the scene when Darius, Larenz Tate, plays a Charlie Parker record for Nina, Nia Long, in the record store. As the song plays, she says, "It's kind of sad." he responds, "melancholy maybe, but not sad. There's a difference, I think." And she replies, "Maybe your right."

This is one of my favorite movies and this clip is one of my favorite scenes from the movie. It gives good insight into the word Melancholy.
