This talk was presented at Vulkanised 2023 (Feb 7-9, Munich Germany). Vulkanised is organised by the Khronos Group and is the largest event dedicated to 3D developers using the Vulkan API. The event provides a unique opportunity to bring the Vulkan developer community together to exchange ideas, solve problems and help steer the future development of the Vulkan API and ecosystem.

Great talk, I don't know why the rest of the vulkan community seems to ignore half the tools not properly supporting buffer device address, despite it being essential to many people's workflows, also don't know why people don't seem to emphasize just how bad our shader tooling is, specifically the front end language side, and how it's an absolute disgusting shame GLSL HLSL and every other option have so many damn caveats for usability. Unfortunately most people can't attend in person, and only very specialized industries already shoulder to shoulder with Khronos group have companies sponsoring them to go to these events, so it makes it look like even less people care than who actually do.
