I'm sorry, but I find it very difficult to understand the speaker. I put on CC and it was just as confused as I was.

I still have no idea what docker dev environments are. Would be helpful if I could understand what was being said. I understand presenter is not a native speaker and that's fine but maybe slow things down and speak clearer and it wouldn't be so difficult. Clearly I'm not the only one that feels this way.

So from what I could understand, this is essentially a Git integration ... I think it would have been more enlightening to explain how Docker manages the different repos/branches, as in how would one add/remove a cli tool for instance? And then explain the current alternative and how this is better. Also, not everyone uses VSCode, so it would have helped to address that as well.

I was able to follow the speaker but unfortunately I find it hard to grasp the value of dev environments? Are they a functionality for code sharing? Is it something useful to accelerate the PRs? In any case, it seems this functionality will be an obscure one in the docker offering :).

Please put someone on your staff who knows audio and don't settle for a double compressed video of someone mumbling into a built-in potato mic on their laptop from a meter away.

How does this work with a LAMP environment? Is it even possible? What I don't understand is how Docker knows what kind of containers to build! All the videos I find relating to this seem to be for JS frameworks like GO, Node etc.

So exactly what did this accomplish? How were Go/Make/Git set up? What can be accessed from the contaner? Can these be used from outside Docker Desktop?
