This is awesome! If you have original voice recorded data, you can actually play the audio close to the microphone and it will automatically transcribe for you.

Thanks for this. I've tried doing this before, but your tip about using earphones and dictating eliminated my hot-switching back and forth and was so very helpful. I use VLC Media Player to slow down the speed a bit and increase the volume.
My next attempt will be to use my trusty "Behringer U-Control UCA202" to try to bypass my dictation. Also, Grammarly is a great help in tweaking the output of any transcription process - including punctuation - an absolutely indispensable tool!

I've tried it and I found a problem right away. If you switch between windows (or tabs of the browser), the mike turns off. And I don't see any settings for the mike except choosing a language. Can anybody help me out with that?

This can work well if you have a good speech recognition software. There are many ways out there to ease the pain of transcription e.g text prediction software [light key which works with various writing platforms like word and another independent one called I predict]. You can also auto transcribe your audio or video using online softwares like otter voice, however the only problem is that they only give you a limit of 600 minutes if you are using a free version and 6000 minutes for premium which is also not good either. You can't also transcribe low -quality audio with otter voice. To help correct some errors, use grammarly and to reduce some background noise you can use audacity.

I was thinking about trying TranscribeMe, but was feeling a little uncertain about it. I don't know _why_ I hadn't thought of _this!_ That's good to know, that it won't work by playing it into the speaker. And I have a Yeti 3 in 1 mic that I paid over $100 for, so I guess the only thing slowing me down is my apprehension. I guess I take down the text, _and then_ deal with the guidelines and edit as necessary. : )
