If you have problems with writing the angle remember minutes you have to do it with the key for question mark ? and seconds with the number 2 key mayble it change in each keyboard but maybe helps someone with the same problem that i was having.

what is the angle key you talk about? You say hit the shift and then the angle key?

Or if you don't want to have to Type North and East all the time ..
Set UNITS to ( type) Deg/Min/Sec --- (Precision) to 0d00'00"
Tick the Clockwise Box
Hit the 'direction' Button and SET the 'Base Angle' to 'North'
That's the way I do it, anyway
