Similar protests occurred nationwide, including a demonstration that temporarily halted westbound traffic on the Hamilton Fish Newburgh-Beacon Bridge earlier in the day. Protesters aimed to highlight the ongoing conflict in Gaza and advocate for a free Palestine.

In Chicago, activists obstructed access to O'Hare International Airport, while San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge experienced a blockade, and Interstate 280 in Oakland was also shut down due to protest activity. These protests coincided with Iran's recent retaliatory strike on Israel, marking the first direct attack by Iran on the nation, following Israel's earlier strike on an Iranian consulate in Damascus.
