Aniki, it's been awhile.. I graduated a 2 or 3 years ago, and it was hard, but I made it despite all of the pain I was in. I'm glad I did. These last few years have felt like a blur, but I finally feel like im getting the hang of things. Although I'm still unsure about the future. I'm trying to stay strong just like you, Aniki, but I'm struggling. I'll hang in there and do my best. I hope you're resting well. It's been so long since you've left, hasn't it? It happened.

I've been on a journey of self discovery and self improvement, going to the gym and commenting here in some sort of silent vigil. Leaving this in my workout playlist to remind myself why I started. Why I lift. Why I work out. Why I am still alive.

Someone finally asked me, "Hey, you look like you've been working out."

It was such a simple thing, but it is the first time I'd ever hear someone say something like that to me. And while I am nowhere near my goal, the fact is that I have made a few steps on this road to tomorrow. To be the best I can be, because Billy showed me the way.

But in that moment, it was because of my own efforts. My own decisions. I earned it.

Thank you, Billy. I'll keep pushing towards that beautiful spring day when I can be big. Like you. They miss you every day. I'm here to tell them they aren't alone.
