Shouldn't have been flooring it as acceleration causes the car front to shoot up in the air where as lifting or braking right before the jump causes it to go front first but also doing that is used to get the car to fly flat and not to do a near backflup

And thats why you at least back off or preferably quickly jab the brake at the crest to compress the front suspension lowering your angle of attack through the air!
