You're right, this Evolutiom video is one of their earlier ones. If you haven't done them yet (I'm checking after I write this comment) I'd love to see your reaction to the two newer Evolution videos - Rhianna and Ariana Grande. Both videos feature Matt, the new member. I really think the latter shows them locked into their sound and groove to an incredible degree.

I would say that I consider the 90s Dance Medley to be the most recent of their medley work, but it's not filmed continuously like the Evolution videos are. It's also super worth checking out to hear how incredible their transitions and execution are as they have continued to grow as a group.

I’m seeing a lot of people suggesting Superfruits Beyoncé Medley, which I think you should absolutely do. It is my favorite Superfruit video it’s amazing!! Also, you get an awesome surprise of seeing Scott taking over Kevin’s job for a short time in the vid and beatboxing, something a lot of people often miss but it’s my favorite part!!!! 💙

I really enjoy your reactions. As a MusicTeacher you come in with just the right amount of information/instruction in a way that does not come off as "I know better than all" or "I'm going to explain every single thing and break it down". Many "Vocal/Music teachers tend to come in with that type of attitude and it gets really old really quick. You've always been one of my favorite reactors because you have the pure "fan/enjoyment of the music" mixed in and it's a perfect ratio. Mitchy is one of my top 3 singers in the world and I love that he changes his look for whatever suits him, I hate "crowd followers" and love those who just live their life. As a singer and someone who played with the Houston Symphony Orchestra for 2 years straight out of High School....Pentatonix is and always will be my favorite musical group. The skill and talent level it takes to do what they do...well I'm not sure people completely get what it takes and how much practice and training they put in to continually get better and "up" their game. Thank you for you great reactions, they're always a pleasure!!!

This evolution is insane! Loved your reaction. Please add Say Something (A Great Big World x Christina Aguilera) to your list. Kirstie has the lead and is stunning, Kevin plays the cello while beatboxing and the layering in the bridge will slay you. I didn’t love the original version of this song, but the PTX version is on several of my playlists. Love Tonix Tuesdays!!

I get the feeling that they take the transitions as important and crucial to the medley as any of the individual songs. They’re FLAWLESS!

I love this video and your reaction to it. It is from early on, when their videos were one take and very raw. I love the humor they put into so many videos, like Thrift Shop and Making Christmas. There was a video where they met with Diane Sawyer at World News Tonight, standing on one side of a huge news room full of people, they sang this whole medley, no notes, no mics, and it sounded perfect. I think that video was taken down, but it sure proved they could do this live.

Repeating many others - please react to the Superfruit Beyoncé Medley. It's a medley of songs from Beyoncé's self-titled album, rather than an evolution... and since it's just Scott and Mitch, the focus is just on their singing and features Scott on piano as a background track. That and the Superfruit medley of Rihanna's Anti album are two of my favorite things, ever.

This is definitely older video. This was during the same timeframe as Can’t Hold Us (which is also worth checking out)

Many don’t realize how in sync that Kevin and Avi are that at times they sound like one person.

Yeah, this is an older video because Mitch is in his 'ordinary citizen' disguise. While he was still young and shy and hadn't found his feet he looked like everybody. Once he found his personal worth he bloomed and got brave and started looking like Mitch, whomever that might be today.
