Mets starter Sean Manaea, who's been brilliant most of this season picked an inopportune time to not be at his best, surrendering a grand slam to Rhys Hoskins in the first inning of an eventual 8-4 Brewers win. Mark Vientos smacked his 27th home run of the season and Francisco Lindor returned to the lineup, reaching base three times but it wasn't enough for the Mets who fell back into a tie with Atlanta in the NL wild card race.

The Mets are 0-4 against the brewers this year and 1-11 in our last 12 against them. We still have two to make up against the Braves ( doubleheader) In order for the Mets to get into the playoffs we need to go 3-1, I dont see this happening against these two teams. Braves were decimated by injuries and yet they’re still killing the Mets. Be hungry is more dangerous then being talented at times

Silence of the Lambs = Silence of the bats! The Mets now look as if they 'might make the playoffs' by skin of teeth! I'm beginning to think that diminished spirit has left this team. Keith and Ron will go to the graves without being able to pass the torch, for this teams lack of mojo and lack of a front office! Manaea, Sevi, Peterson... What a time to go sour! Still no Bear when it counts, Winker and Martinez cold as ice!

Yuck. Grand slam in the first inning? The rain outs in Atlanta and this big loss…I hope we can bounce back otherwise the double header won’t mean anything. Why can’t we find a DH that can hit? Since the NL adopted the DH we have not had a good one. 12 million dollars for 16 HR from Martinez is just terrible. Vientos huge surprise but that DH spot drives me nuts.

It's over guys, let's look forward to the offseason to see if they make a true playoff team, you can already see by the vibe that they won't be moving that ass to the playoffs. Alonso, Martínez, winker and even the wind itself is disgusting... Winds for every home run he strikes out 3 times
