I love the line “you don’t like weak women, you get bored so quick. And you don’t like strong women cause they’re hip to your tricks.” The phrasing and meaning are just awesome ❤

You know Joni was a lover..over the moon, and then back to earth, as a singing angel. She has lived in my heart for 46 years. I'm 72 years young because of Joni.

Those lyrics sketch a picture as beautiful as Lady Joni's painting, and touch it off with her music. Seriously genius.

First heard this song on a static filled AM radio in the West Virginia mountains during a snowstorm on the way to the Outer Banks for Thanksgiving 1972. A perfect 2 minutes, 39 seconds. (And I never use the word perfect)

Such a perfect song! Her tongue in cheek response to Geffen asking her to write a hit single.. ps. Her backing vocals are just as mesmerizing as her lead vocals are! Especially in headphones!

I remember back in the mid 70’s by our local radio station said “ call in if you can sing a song, A cappella “
I choose this one, and they let me sing you entire song, with I said as my intro” this is for my favourite Folk Singer Joni Mitchell, I love you Joni ~ Thank you! Then began singing “ You Turn me on I’m a Radio “
You’re so beautiful and I was so happy to see you perform at the Newport Folk Festival. Welcome Back, our Beloved, Joni Mitchell ❤️

I was 13 when this song was released, my mother hated it, thought it was nonsensical, I loved it and 51 years later I still love it (my mother was never guilty of having good taste anyway) :)

Back in the mid 70's a friend and i took a trip to Red Hook N.Y. We stayed at a writers house on a dirt road, this album was at the front of the stack, been a fan ever since, pure artistry, have just about all her albums.

This song was playing in the birthing room when my son Max was born. I knew then he would be a cool kid. He still is at 32 years.

The first time I heard this song was right after the album was released. I was at a party and I was really stoned. The thoughts I had to explain those background self-harmonies don't exist in the real universe. I'm still ok with it and still love this song and album enormously. thanks, Dr. Joni.

If angels could sing? They'd all sound like Joni Mitchell. Beautiful voice.

I love this song, too. It pops up in my head and I want to hear it so much. Do Canadians get titles, such as Dame. Joni deserves it. The Monarchy should fix this!
