Leading attorneys representing local residents and businesses impacted by the BioLab chemical fire near Atlanta hosted an informational town hall on Wednesday, October 16, to discuss the litigation, answer questions about community members’ rights, and provide information on the next steps in this process.

The goal of this town hall was to ensure community members fully understand their legal rights and are equipped to make well-informed decisions. It was open to all community members. Multiple firms in this group of attorneys were lead counsel in the $600 million settlement over the Norfolk Southern train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, which the Court described as an “outstanding result" in her approval of the agreement.

Importantly, residents do not need to retain a lawyer to have their rights protected. Additionally, residents should not sign any document from BioLab.
