The lore community at this point is just an insane asylum. Everyone is extremely confident in what they believe, but it’s all crazy.

The amount of lore that wasn't mentioned in that video was immense

Just remember that Mike is physically purple and William is morally purple

That's my excuse from now on, every time somebody asks me what makes the FNaF lore make sense, I'll just say "Remnant"

A complete novice's guide to FNAF lore:
1) Beware the bunny
2) Beware the colour purple
3) Sometimes beware the colour gold as well
4) Did we mention not to trust the rabbit cosplayer?
5) Circus Baby is pure evil as well but she only has five minutes of screen time so you can pretty much forget she exists. Much like Vanny.

Remnant feels like the quantum physics of the FNAF universe. Something doesn't makes sense? Remnant!

Just some things of note that the videos missed:
-Michael is alive since the SCUPER is a remnant injector. He’s essentially possessing his own corpse
-Henry sealed the secret back room after Afton died. This is why Springtrap didn’t do anything for 3 decades
--Afton- Glitchtrap exists in Help Wanted as a virus due to Fazbear Entertainment scanning -Springtrap’s- old circuit boards to “help” with development

As for the Toy animatronics, it’s heavily debated (moreso than usual). I’m of the opinion that they became corrupted via integrating parts from the old animatronics, but that’s just me

I like how "Remnant" is just the word used to explain whatever sharks are being jumped now no matter what. It's just a buzzword it doesn't mean anything anymore lol

“…and she gets folded like a lawn chair” has got to be the best nonchalant description of death I’ve ever heard

Funny how Spiff understood almost everything in the story UNTIL we get to the Steel Wool games and its just basically like "W-wait, how?"... i wonder why

"How does the puppet walk?"
In a universe where dead kids possess hunks of metal, I think the puppet walking is the least of your problems.

I’d highly recommend watching Wendigoon’s video on the FNaF lore. I think his timeline is more accurate than these two you watched, putting the Bite of ‘83 first instead of the Puppet being made. He also only focuses on the story up to UCN and throws out remnant in order to simplify things. Lastly he explains in detail a lot of the reasons the timeline is how it is and all in all it’s the timeline I like the most.

everything up to pizza sim/UCN is its own self-contained story that's largely figured out. but everything post-steel wool is brand new and the theories are in as much chaos as the original games were when they were new. every theory abt the new games is like, very subject to change.

13:45 “That seems reasonable.” In FNAF, the story is so insane that any explanation can make sense. What a time to be alive.

Tbh, I'm not a fan of this timeline construction Spiff watched, but I think he'd run into the problems I have with it no matter WHO he watched create it. The reason for this is that some events simply cannot be placed in the timeline without more information.

For example: when do the FNaF 3 minigames where William dismantled the animatronics take place? One might assume it takes place around where the video suggested, which seems plausible by the fact that the location looks destroyed by age and weather, but... if this is the FNaF 1 location years after closure, the... why is William here? Why is he taking the animatronics apart? What does he even WANT with them? If you go by the books, one would be led to assume that William was taking their endoskeletons to melt into the Funtimes, which is FURTHER reinforced by FNaF 6's tombstone ending implying that the original 5 kids and Charlie were finally set free by the end, which would only be the case by this point if they were in the Funtimes (and therefore Molten Freddy). But, if this IS the case, then there's absolutely NO WAY the Funtimes were made BEFORE the FNaF 3 cutscenes. This means one thing by following basic logic of how quickly he could have possibly made the Funtimes:

There was a LOT of time between the 4th minigame in FNaF 3 and the 5th. This is because he had to have time to take all the endos back, make the Funtimes, start using them a bit, then storing them underground for the equipment and rentals business, all BEFORE he got springtrapped. This also brings up the question of... WHY THE FUCK DID WILLIAM GO BACK AFTER HE ALREADY HAD ALL THE ENDOS? I guess he could have just been picking up the Spring Bonnie suit and leaving, but he could have just done that when he brought all the rest out. He obviously had a vehicle for transportation, he didn't just DRAG the giant metal endoskeletons back.

Okay, but now there's another problem; Speingtrap was in a boarded up room. The only way that makes sense is if him getting springtrapped chronologically coincides with the sealing of the safe rooms as mentioned in the FNaF 3 tapes. But, if this is the case, then 1) the location couldn't have been closed for years by the time William got there, and was in fact VERY active still, and 2) if it's true that a lot of time had to be between William dismantling the others and getting springtrapped, then... WHY DID NOBODY QUESTION THE FACT THAT ALL OF THE ANIMATRONICS WERE DESTROYED?!?! Like, William would have had to destroy them, wait several months with the restaurant STILL RUNNING on the springlock suits alone, and then show back up days before the safe rooms were getting sealed to be springtrapped. This is all not even bringing up the issues with the fact that these tapes seem to happen LONG before the FNaF 1 location due to the springlock suits being discontinued around here.

Okay, some of you may be saying "Okay, well maybe William was actually sealed in a different safe room at a different time?". Really? You're telling me that YEARS after the safe rooms were sealed and months to years after Freddy Fazbear's was closed, somebody went back to the restaurant with NO PURPOSE except to seal the safe room and leave? Nobody had any questions about the fact that they went to go to an abandoned building with dismantled animatronic shells all over and board up a single room and leave? And all for what? So the building could sit there Nother 30 years until FNaF 3? WHY?!?!? Why did they even seal the room? Was it already sealed to begin with and William tore it open to get in?

Point is, none of this timeline makes sense because if we are to take what Scott said true; that is that there is only 1 retcon by FNaF 4, then SL introduced like FIVE MORE.

If Spiff ever wants an indepth story explanation then I would suggest Wendigoons FNaF storyline video. By far one of the most coherent versions of the story, but I believe that some of the most recent games aren't included there

"This has something to do with dead kids??"
An apt description of the entire FNAF timeline, tbh

At some point lore just doesnt become fun anymore when you're specifically vague, have no consistency and cram new random nonsense into everything regardless of wether it makes sense because your franchise is in a symbiotic relationship with matpat/theorists. I think SB/Ruin have potential for creating a feeling of like.... Aperture Science but Pizza, i wish those weren't connected to fnaf.
