My advice to young people is to finish their general education, get a corporate job for no more than 5 years just to experience the toxicity and hardship as well as gain experience and money. After that, either start your own business, get into a trade and/or start investing. There’s absolutely no reason to keep on working for somebody else for more than about 5 years. And unless you want to become a doctor, lawyer or an engineer, avoid college altogether as it is a horrible investment.

I broke free almost 3 years ago. I have no regrets. Since quitting my job I have been able to focus on my passion and my interests instead of making money for others.

I don't touch crypto, but there's many ways to earn passive income. Real estate is my main strategy.

The standard of living is being lowered because too many people are figuring it out.

Too many people choose childlessness over debt slavery.

So the standard of living has been lowered so that a single person lives paycheque to paycheque and families have to rely on subsidies.

They need workers, and they want them cheap. The system falls apart without poor people.

We would be just fine if everybody owned some land not a lot, just an acre each, house paid off, grow their own food, and no property taxes, make our own things from wood, trade and barter, you would barely have to "work"

However, you can't support an elite class off the backs of this. There is no way to extract wealth out of independent people. That's why all measures are in place to prevent this outcome.

Experts thought that we would be down to 25 hours per week by the year 2000. The only solution that I can think of is living simply. Avoid lifestyle creep. Ignore advertisements.

Personally, I live the frugal lifestyle and it has improved my life enormously. Earn as much money as possible and spend as little as you possibly can on things that don't improve your life. Be intentional about your spending and stop just throwing your money away to shareholders, baby boomers, and their political puppets.

I recently went to a FIRE-meetup and met some people with similar ideas. It was highly inspiring and made me more determined than ever to get it done.
Meeting some people with similar ambitions is something I can recommend wholeheartedly.

Governments also keep putting us down with high taxation and inflation. You can't just park what you saved in a savings account because it never pays enough to match the real cost of life inflation, specially for frugal people. It's their way of forcing people to not be extra frugal for a couple of years, saving as much as possible, then getting a cheap homestead and withdrawing from being a productive being. That's also access to end of life services is limited and considered a taboo. They want us to serve, not to enjoy life while only giving a fraction of our energy back to "pay our duty" only.

😊I hear you about quitting the 9 to 5 🙂 And I did 10 months ago to become a full time Youtuber, I worked and had fun for 10 months, with 0 income so far, but I will get to my goals as it is about being motivated and never giving up, I tried crypto and only just broke even after years, stocks also no thanks, I invest in myself and live like today may be the last. Great advice I'm working to stop being a wage slave but it's a long road to walk alone I ask co workers and friends family but they enjoy their wage slavery more I guess.
