roblox games that REFUSE to die

as a platform, roblox has changed a lot since its beginnings - with many of its earlier games becoming inactive in the coming years. in this video, i talk about games that despite what i just said, are still active after over a decade :)

There's just something so.... Entertaining about work at a pizza place and natural disaster survivial. No matter how many times you play them, they never really seem to get old. Whether you're pushing people into an oven, or watching the chaos of 3 different natural disasters occur right next to you, they never seem to disappoint.

I feel like one of the reasons why these games never die is because of how simple and how easy you can understand it's mechanics, not only that, but they have this perfect line between being simple but still being fun to play. I used to play natural disaster survival on a daily basis, although I don't play that game much anymore, I still play it from time to time.

work at a pizza place really did deserve recognition, like it hasn't been dead for a single day since its popularity peak. It's the only game of old games that has stood with over 10k actively, at the time of writing it has 20k online players. all of these did deserve recognition

Speed Run 4 still holds up to this day. I remember a time where almost all the levels had copywritten music lol

One game I feel that wasn't mentioned was Flood Escape (2010), which still have an active amount of players of around almost 1K players per day. It even has a sequel game that is way more improved and gets updated every now and again! (It was also the first ever game I played on roblox in 2015)

Some other old games still played today:

Classic: Crossroads is the only game still on the Roblox account, and it still has around 10-20 players online all the time. It was originally made in 2007 and is one of the few brickbattle games still actively played to this day. Temple of Brickbattle also has their own version which has around 10-20 players online and uses the Doomspire Brickbattle remastered tools pack.

Pinewood Computer Core was released in late 2009 and since then, has maintained a dedicated following, usually having anywhere from 100-300 players online. It got its latest major content update only a couple days ago as of writing, and has a thriving community.

The Underground War was originally made in 2008, and a remastered version was made in 2019. It has over 250 million visits at time of writing.

Roblox Titanic was made in late 2008, and was remastered in the mid 2010s. It generally has around 1, 000 players online or more and is still updated, having a fairly large playerbase.

Welcome to Roblox Building was originally made by Roblox around 2010, but was taken offline a few years after. However, MaximumADHD remade it, and it currently has an active playerbase of around 200+ players.

im an 08er and Work At A Pizza Place is still one of my favorite games . very frustrating to be put into games with unattended six year olds on ipads who dont know how to make pizzas or take orders though

If you haven't thought about doing this already, I recommend you make a video about Roblox's Shiftlock feature going in-depth about the history it's existence and creation, as well as all of the changes that's been made to it since it's creation. I was curious about this so I tried doing my own research, but google doesn't have any answer for it, and the oldest footage on youtube I found was from early 2015, and I had a player from 2006 personally tell me the earliest they remember it from is the summer of 2012. I joined roblox pretty late so I wouldn't know if any of this is true. I figured you would be qualified to research the topic and find out it's history, since you seem to be somehow exceptionally well at researching the history about literally any roblox related topic, and finding every important piece of information relevant to it, and it's history.

I love the accuracy on this video, this is the first time I've seen someone big actually do their research before talking about old ROBLOX stuff since most people usually get their facts wrong since old ROBLOX is so obscure. (including me lol i am guilty of it)

Lumber tycoon 2 and speed run 4 are decently old, barely updated and still relatively active. Sure they are only from mid 2010s but still I have this mindset of "why won't they die" about them
Yes they are fun but I don't see them being THAT fun unless it's a stream of constantly new ppl. And speed run 4 is imo not that good outside of roblox standards but it's the only well known one with roblox controls

I've played so many games as a little kid in 2008-2012. Coming back home from school, hopping on my Dell Dimension with Windows XP and playing Reason 2 Die, Iron Cafe, Desert Wars, Work at a pizza place, Tycoons, Doomspire Brickbattle etc.
6-10 years old from 2008-2012, I'm still glad that some of the games I played when I was younger are still active, especially me being a now 20 year old man.

Glad doomspire brickbattle exists, introduced me to one of my favourite games on the platform - Super Doomspire :)
Work at a Pizza Place and Natural Disaster Survival also held up to the test of time really well, still play them a lot. Don't play SFOTH that often but when I do it's a blast for sure, the game has a charm to it that's for sure

I remember I used to play a roleplay game back in 2016 called "Island life", its not one of those ones you would see in almost every trolling video, you could customise your house, get gears and other fun things, it's not roblox highschool but it's close to adopt me, even though I don't like adopt me. The game has pretty much died after the few years I've been playing.

One version of Doomspire Brickbattle that I was familiar with was this version where the floor was an ocean of acid with rocks in it as the platforms to get to the base of the other towers.

I really liked that version of the game.

Unfortunately, it's gone now.

Nonetheless, that version of the game was fun to play.

I definitely think you could have added hole in the wall to this list, it wasn’t created during the very early stages of Roblox, but it was June 19th 2009, and is still being updated to this day.

I raised medieval warfare's playerbase up to 2% by blocking one person in each server, so others could join the servers i made. I wanted the game to stay alive so i could see how fun it is with over 25 players.

my biggest gripe with work at a pizza place is that last time i played all anyone did was use it as a social hangout instead of really playing the game. I remember having to work all the jobs at once

There is a game that holds up by the remaster it's called "in plain sight" for IPS for short this game has an interesting concept I recommend trying it out!

I definitely think base wars disserves a spot on this list, it was created in late 2009, yet still maintains a healthy player base and even still receives updates.
