My husband lost both legs in a motorcycle accident, I was honored to take care of the man who took care of me for 43 years. We were married 51 years when he died. I would do it all again. Love, Is doing for the other person was best for them regardless of what it cost you! God bless you and your husband, hang in there.

By him living in the care home she doesn’t feel overwhelmed as the caregiver. She can continue to be his wife. Her energy can go toward raising the children and all that encompasses. She won’t have the bitterness or resentment caregivers/spouses can fall into when they’re overwhelmed. It’s a terrible situation and each family has to decide what they can handle. She’s able to enjoy their time together. Until you’ve been a full time caregiver please don’t judge her.

I work in an assisted living center, and it is my greatest honor to serve these people....

Massive respect to this woman!!!
Im not privy to their whole situation, but what I've gathered from the video is that for some reason or another her husband is in assisted living, and rather than bail on him and go find some other guy, she's right there!! Obviously visiting him, taking him places, , , doing all of the things a real wife does..
And then i scroll through these comments and see people saying things like, she's got a dude on the side... What if she doesn't?? What if she's locked in, and holding it down 100%, the way any man would want it? And then she has to go on her account and see comments like that.. that would only bring her down. How about lifting her up.... How about not doubting her. Would be hell to be a real woman, holding it down and then be doubted by everyone...

I absolutely hate that our Healthcare system cannot provide an at home nurse so he can be at home all the time with your family. I also applaud you not attempting to do it all. My mother nearly killed herself caring for my dad his final days. I quit my job to go stay with them and help her. But she never slept, she layed by his side day and night, jumping at his every move. It was the most heartbreaking thing I've ever seen when he passed. He needed to go, his body was broken and his pain so intense. But my mama was terrified to be alone. I brought her home with me. We sold her home and her life in Austin TX was over. A year after my dad passed away, my mom's sister's husband died. They lived 500 miles apart now because mom lived in DFW Texas and my aunt in SW MO. They decided to buy a house together half way between the two places in Oklahoma. They are both so happy together, they are each other's everything. I love my mama so much. I miss her, wish she was close again, but am so happy she is getting to live this fun life with my aunt. She's a beautiful soul and deserves peace and happiness.

This brought me to tears, not because it's sad or I feel sorry not whatsoever. It's because of the love I see that flows between you too. AMAZING!!!!

Back in the 90's my mother had Alzheimer's and and lived with us. I dropped her off at assisted living on my way to work, picked her back up after work. It was a win win situation. My mom was safe while I was at work. Maybe their situation is something like that.

One of the best men I ever knew had MS and was still serving in our church despite his pain. Nothing but respect and love for this couple. ❤❤❤

How heartbreaking, to be married to the one you adore, and he needs more help than you can handle!! Blessings in abundance!!

My brother- in-law lived in an assisted living care facility for five years with advanced MS. My sister devoted her life to him, even though she suffered with advanced erosive arthritis for many years. She put her own life & pain on hold to care for him as long as she could. He passed away last year & now can focus on her own health issues. She is now going to have extensive back surgery so that she can hopefully walk upright again. Please, people out there stop judging when you know nothing about there lives!😢

Now this is what love is about. My wife has been by my side as I'm fighting cancer. Wives need to be loved from the moon and back.

This has to be very difficult not having her life partner at home with the family. May God bless this family.
