Modeling Volume and Surface Current Density of a Rotating Charge Distribution - E&M

Here we do two problems:
1. Model Volume Current Density of a solid cylinder with rotating charge in the z direction.
2. Model a surface current density of a spherical shell with rotating charge in the same direction as 1.

From this hopefully we see that modeling surface and volume current densities is not too difficult.

Hello Nick

If i want to calculate the current in the surface of a rotating sphere with a given current density in phi direction, what would be the differential that i must use in order to find that current? i have been checking my notes but i'm not sure if i have to use the differential in theta direction, i would be so thankful if you can please answer me.

Thanks.
