The political turmoil in Bangladesh is a growing concern, especially with the resurgence of radical Islamic forces that threaten regional stability. Under the interim government, the influence of hardline Islamic parties is spreading like wildfire, and the return of Jamaat-e-Islami into electoral politics after a decade-long ban is just the tip of the iceberg. More alarming, however, is the open aspiration of these radical groups to establish a so-called "Greater Bangladesh," a dangerous and unrealistic fantasy that envisions annexing vast swathes of Indian territory, including West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, and India's entire northeastern region.
