Mille Fiori is one of my favorite games because of how quick it plays and the ease of teaching. I’m fearful that this takes it up a level of complexity that would make it tough for newer gamers and add to the game length. I’ll try before I buy.

An expansion already? I wonder when this will ACTUALLY be available in the USA for purchase. The base game took about a year to come out here.

I found the expansion box even better in size to hold the base game in it as well. A few cm/inch saving in the shelf : )

I ended up selling the exp. the set collection grid detracts from the focus of the game and uses a lot of space

Can't tell by the rules but do you activate your drafted card location first, or do you go up the track first?

I have mixed feelings about this; I’m excited to add to this game and like the variable turn order, but worry that masterpieces will be too disconnected. I’ve never played the base game with less than 4 and I’m having some trouble comprehending Mike’s paradoxical recommendation with 2

Meh...the base game is perfect as it is. The game shouldn't even be played with less than 3 players imo.

Mike Italianlastname... it's Italian so as long as you pronounce all the vowels, even those at the end, then it's usually just which sylABBle gets the emPHASSis. (DogaRESSa. DoGAte.)

Speaking of... preparing for a trip to Italy, I was having issues with pronunciating. I have a Spanish background so I was close, but it still sounded like Spanish to me. So I just started saying the words like Luigi on The Simpsons, aka "ridiculous Italian stereotype". First night, sitting at a restaurant overlooking the Lago di Garda and I'm "talking" to the server, feeling like a total hate crime:

"Mamma mia! We wanta the pizza anda the pasta!" (Not really. It just felt like that. And it was in actual Italian.)

"Parli Italiano?"

"No. I'm sorry. I'm murdering your language."

"No! You speak it very well!" And then he switched to Italian for the rest of the meal.

The lesson here is: The Simpsons is always right!
