I also highly recommend getting a shoe rack that can also be used as a bench, as not only does it make it easier to take your shoes on and off, but it also means that you're more likely to remember putting your shoes away since you're sitting right on top of where they go!

My dad was born in the wrong time because he was just like this and could have had his own social media to teach people how to organise and keep their things neat. He was so detailed and clean and neat. The things you mentioned here and exactly how he would have organised it.

Omg I was having shoe entryway trouble and this so so helpful! Originally I was going to buy one of those ikea shoe cabinet things because I thought it was bad the shoes are exposed. Taking shoes off the top totally solved the problem! No need to buy anything, just adjust what we already have. Subtle changes totally make it feel different. Thank you.

I learned on an organizing website that storing shoes with one heel forward and one back saves space because they can nest thus saving space.
The bonus is that for women's shoes you can not only see the shoe toes to view the style but can also see the heel height when choosing what to wear. Win/win.
