Title: "Large-scale simulations in underwater acoustics: methods, challenges and applications"

Abstract: Present-day non-military applications of underwater acoustics requiring large-scale simulation of sound fields are discussed. Typical mathematical setting of sound propagation problem arising in such applications is considered, and various simplifications that do not significantly affect the accuracy of the solution while greatly reducing its computational cost are discussed. Typical inhomogeneities of the marine environment are also briefly considered. Several manifestations of the horizontal refraction effect caused by such inhomogeneities are outlined. The presentation is concluded by a couple of practical examples demonstrating the main challenges in the application of sound propagation models.

Классный доклад, я прямо флешбеки словил. Мне кажется у тебя местами немецкий акцент проскальзывает)
