Election Day should be a "Voting Holiday", allowing everyone time off from work with no fear of being fired or being punished. It should be a paid day off so no one loses money for spending their time in line to do their civic duty. The polls should be open for the entire 24 hours.

Section 2 of the 14th Amendment prohibits voting practices that result in citizens being denied equal access to the political process on account of race, color, or membership in a language minority group, and voting practices adopted or maintained for the purpose of discriminating on those bases. Section 2 of the 14th Amendment requires Congress to punish states that restrict the right to vote.
