I've Got Something To Say About Man Utd's New Stadium

Old Trafford is more than just a football stadium to those lucky enough to go every week and to millions of people worldwide

But there's something I want to say about Old Trafford, its future and with the potential for INEOS to build a new stadium growing stronger.

Just wanted to explain my honest opinion on what I think the right choice is for INEOS, Old Trafford and the idea of building a new stadium. It is more than just a stadium to so many and that is what makes this decision such a difficult one.

season ticket holder for 30 years..tons of great memories BUT a new stadium for me next door to OT is the right solution. No disruption with a build for match going fans, state of the art facilities, upgrade on match day experience and a stadium to be proud of for future generations…bring it on. Look forwards not back.

We need a new stadium, I will be gutted, but its for the best and the future of Utd, give Old Trafford to the ladies team and the youngsters, new structure, new carrington, new stadium, new start. onwards and upwards.

The proposal to build a new stadium of 100, 000 seats while still keeping the original O.T with reduced capacity seems to me to be the perfect solution .

My first game was in 72, and I can still remember it like it was yesterday, I can still remember walking up the steps on United Road onto the terrace and being mesmerised by how green the pitch was and how red the shirts were. And the noise! For a boy from the concrete jungle of the council estates of Salford it was a sight to behold. Don't know how many times I've been since, maybe 700 or so. So many memories...

But, the time is right. The way I look at it, if we refurbish the old ground then only a full tear-down and rebuild would get us to where we need to be, and it'll still be compromised by the railway line on one side and the canal on the other. I don't see the point in doing that just so that we can say we've kept the pitch on the same footprint, when we can do a no-compromises state of the art new stadium right behind the Stretford End.

My first game at OT was on 4th September 1966. My dad took me. 3-1 win against Newcastle 😊

Staying at old Trafford is like hanging on to your ex.The materials used to have built that stadium are not the what our memories are a new stadium, new memories but the old ones stay on our hearts and minds to true United fans

I’ve been going to OT since 77 it is my second home, it will be a sad day for me to go to a new stadium but inevitable……..OT will always remain my theatre of dreams ❤️

The thing I fear is losing that OT feeling. The mood and atmosphere of our fan base hasn’t been pretty over the past decade and I’d hate to transfer that energy over to a new place. I genuinely think OT is what’s kept us together over this dark decade, it’s just so symbolic. But perhaps a new old Trafford might rejuvenate something but winning in a new stadium from the get go is a must.

I completely get the emotions behind Old Trafford stadium and the local fans connection to OT but let's be honest with ourselves, we need a new stadium. OT has been left to rod. And the fact that we need a new stadium should be enough for the fans to kick out the Glazers once and for all.

For me the connection to old Trafford isn't the titles, , it's the busby babes. When we ponder about what we are and try to understand what is our DNA it happened on the 6th Feb 1958. Titles are incredible but what happened on that day is something far bigger. And in the stadium I've felt it and I think many others have

I would love to see them build a new stadium, similar in style to OT but modern and state of the art, then keep the pitch at old trafford and build a mini OT around it included in the whole complex with the museum etc.

I’m 50 this year and been going to old Trafford since the mid 80’s and for me it is dear to my heart and for the reason that the Busby babes, those young men who were doing a job died for the badge that hold so we dear to our hearts, and for that reason it will pain me but as long as they keep it to some degree then I feel they need to build the best stadium in the world in their memory. I moved 250 miles in march to carry out my dream of living a ten minute walk from the stadium and a view from my apartment of the ground, so I hope they keep the original so I can still sit every night after work, having a beer looking at the theatre of dreams

A stadium with a roof would be a much better experience although I have many memories with my dad and growing up change is now needed.

Great sentimental feelings towards Old Trafford, But we have to move with the times we are the biggest supported club in the world, With massive status, 100, 000 seater, But if we perform on the pitch to match the status of Man United, It should be great for fans for now and the future, lets move with the times

Keep it, reduce its size & play the academy & ladies there. New stadium next door. Keeps everyone happy.

At the end of the day, if a new stadium means 25k more seats, theyre gonna do that. Theres no way you can expand the current old trafford to a 100k stadium.
