Road to OEWG 3.2 Series | Technical Review of the Foundational Document and Rules of Procedure

The Ad hoc Open-Ended Working Group (OEWG) on a science-policy panel to further contribute to the sound management of chemicals and waste and to prevent pollution is approaching a critical juncture. Negotiations have progressed on various aspects, yet significant issues remain, particularly concerning the foundational document and the rules of procedure for the governing body of the panel. The foundational document is expected to set out the essential vision, goals, and principles, while the rules of procedure will establish the framework for decision-making and operational aspects of the panel.

This webinar aims to provide a platform for Member States and other stakeholders to understand the status of negotiations as at the adjournment of OEWG 3.1, delve into the outstanding issues on the foundational document, and engage in a technical discussion on the rules of procedure to support effective decision-making during OEWG 3.2.
