Love that this song actually gives kpop vibes. When some shows imitate "kpop" its usally just a cutsey song, with one or two korean words. Real kpop includes a choreo, and a fait amount of korean lyrics. This actually has all of that.

While ultimately Neon Shadow was my favorite, Royal Three definitely deserved that win. I do wish there was more Korean in the song, it felt really odd for it to be mostly English, but otherwise absolute BOP

I have a theory going in my head as to why the writers chose to have the Royal Three be the group that won:

If the Rainbow Divas ultimately won, while it would be awesome it'd just mark another victory for Rainbow High while something happened to the runner-up, (and given how toxic things between the three members were, and that Sabrina did that solo act which while it did give her an opportunity to try as a solo artist, It ultimately got both her and her former bandmates cut.)

If Neon Shadow was the group that won, it would be awesome, but that would just mean that the Storm sister's plan to fix the finals so Shadow High would beat Rainbow High for the first time in 7 years would have worked, and if for some reason Neon Shadow actually found out, no doubt they would be appalled, and want to hand the trophy to someone else who is more deserving.

Having the Royal Three be them group that wins the contest makes perfect sense when you consider the above two points, just like most of the new characters that debuted for the RainbowVision Arc, they weren't picking sides, and we know that they would never play dirty anyway and having them be the neutral party means that they're not participating in the sabotage of the Rainbow High groups.

So by having the winner be not from Rainbow High or Shadow High, but a neutral third party is the perfect wrap-up for the competition. Because even though it means that Rainbow High lost their winning streak, Shadow High didn't get the satisfaction of victory by cheating, and given that it's a group that people on both sides enjoy, it makes perfect sense: having the neutral party win means that the rivalry has, (for now at least, ) been put to rest.

As for an extra bonus, given the fact that Avery and Ainsley already warned that if they heard anymore about shadowhigh's plans to win by tampering with the other performances, they would show all of the evidence they had gathered to the headmistress, and given the fact that she probably seems a lot more reasonable than Ms Wright, if they had gone through with the plan, then one set of twins would have been taken care of.
And now that Ainsley has officially transferred to Shadow High, she could use that threat to keep the twins in check . And if we get another RainbowVision Arc in the future, and she goes through with it and the twins get expelled, then not only will they only have one pair of meddling twins to deal with, the competition can be more equal because while Naomi and Veronica and Heather all made good points about how each school should get an opportunity to host each year, and that the judges shouldn't all be biased against one school, The Freshmen were all tricked in to helping sabotage some of the other performances because they were told it would help Shadow High win. So having the Storm Sisters out means that the next competition might turn out a bit more different, probably with all of its own drama, but more equal and with less risk of sabotage.
