What a set. Let's open the last Car Culture Mix of 2024, Modern Classics 4, including the Chase, and then create a stellar car show.

Can't wait to never see these on the pegs.

You are a lucky man to get these from Mattel. Like many of us, we won't even get to see these sit on the pegs. Most likely they will be pallet raided or be dug through by the employees. The only place we will see these is on ebay, facebook market, whatnot for 5X to 20X the MSRP tags.

We never got the STi Forester in the states. I had this one, its the 04 pre facelift second gen Forester. The STi used the Crossport trim (no NA cars) and was such a beast of a car. I bought a front cut of this exact Forester, imported it here to the states and converted my Forester to the STi. I miss this car so much. So Happy Hot Wheels finally made one. Now they need to make the Veloster N and I'll be set with all the cars I've owned in diecast.

Love these kinds of videos when you bring previous models to showcase and compare. Thank you John!

the 500 official Sileighties were manufactured by a third party tuning shop Kid's Heart and licensed by Nissan, they were built using the 180SX Type-X as a base and sold in 1994 only in Japan. Usualy the sileighties spawned from front end crashed 180sx, because the Silvia front was lighter and thus a better option for a replacement. People also custom built Onevias (180sx front in a Silvia body) that were never officially sold by Nissan in japan, but that were sold as the 240sx coupe in the US.

The Hotwheels casting in particular is not based on the official Sileighty but on Mako & Sato's car from Initial D, a custom built sileighty after the driver had an accident with her 180sx. This is noticeable because it has the standard 180sx tail lights as opposed from the type x ones, has a ducktail spoiler and a panel covering the front grille, and it's solidified by the fact that the 1st release of the car replicates the color scheme: blue with gold mesh wheels.

the Sil80 looks good... and fit with InitialD theme... the color of the car and the rims looks identical to Mako car....

The R32 Pandem looks beautiful and the SilEighty looks like the one from the Initial D cartoon series.👍👍👍

Best set for years hands down. Especially for the fans of Initial D the Sileighty is a must have and also in the right color! Looking so much forward to get the set!

this is the greatest mix in hot wheels history. not only there are no peg warmers, and not only there are 3 new castings, but the 3 new castings are AMAZING. gonna be a tough one to find on the pegs and im going to really try. good luck ya'll

Cool to see the tail lights, and centre garnish of the Hot Wheels Sileighty is the early, pre 1998, spec. Which is correct. Apparently, Nissan were inspired to produce the Sileighty after the popularity of Japanese drifters, who would replace their damaged 180SX front ends with the silvia front end. It was less expensive to do so. No pop up lights etc... Plus it looks cool. Another mod done by tuners later was to put the 180SX front on the Silvia making a 'Onevia'...

In the showcase I'm with you. That forester is absolutely killer. Think it's a shame the r33 doesn't have door mirrors. Feel that just lets it down. So for me it's Subaru, R32, R33, 190E, sil80.

Hello from Japan!
I've been so excited by all the JDM's that Hot Wheels has released over the past few years. I am especially grateful to them for selling so many wonderful cars from the 90's to the 2000's.
Also, as a Japanese person, I'm happy that these cars are accepted by fans overseas.
I can't wait for the future where they will continue to sell many wonderful JDM products.
Thank you for your always wonderful videos

Wish the scoop on the forester was a separate piece. Would be perfect then. But still a lovely car.

The Forester is the best one, I hope they make a mid 2000’s Legacy wagon someday because I own one
