Tears fall in rain, like notes lost in green,
Echoes of lives that might have been,
Fading in silence, unseen, serene.

Dear Vangelis, thank you for your music, thank you for creating "memory of grean", as an Arab I was also lost in these western metropolises, deserts of people where people are avoiding other people, rushing everywhere, stuck in their routine, they may run into you on the streets without even noticing! I was a stranger and your music was the shelter, if there is one piano piece that describes my life it will be "green memory" rest in peace Vangelis!

RIP Vangelis. This piece achieves that most sublime and rare beauty: its truly achingly beautiful. forlorn, melancholy, pensive and longing.

When I was growing up as a teenager I would suffer from chronic insomnia. It would take me hours to go to sleep. Eventually, living on the second story of my parents house, I ripped off the screen on my window and propped my bed next to it, perfectly aligning with the windowsill. I would lay down for hours, with my head propped outside of the window, looking up at the stars. I would spend hours, just listening to the city. The distant cars, far off planes, the frogs and the crickets in the nearby creek, the howlings of Coyotes and the battles of street cats. I would do this almost every night for nearly two years. While I had not seen blade runner then, I can say for certain that this song is the only price of art that can make me feel even remotely like I did, sleepless in bed, staring at the stars.

watching this video at 5:30 AM...makes me feel reminiscences of old memories, older than this earth.

Interestingly enough, this is my favorite off the Blade Runner soundtrack despite it being recycled from an older record. It's also the song that immediately played in my head upon hearing the news. RIP Vangelis.

He makes the upright piano sound haunting and retrospective.

Rest in peace, Vangelis. Thank you for contributing to this passion that I created for myself, to this comforting belonging that I was able to turn to. Each note tells a different story and emotions. That's the beauty of Vangelis's work.

One of the most beautiful soundtracks I've listened to in my entire life. A masterpiece. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I could honestly see myself making the conscious choice of having this (If i can) be the final song/thing I listen to before I die. The beeping and industrial sounds really do illicit the image in my mind of a Man on Life Support reminiscing on the heartbreak, beauty and humanity of his life experience and every emotion that comes with it because I feel this song emotionally and accurately reflects that. When people said Vangelis is one of the greatest musical geniuses of the 21st century they were not exaggerating

I was able to catch Blade Runner on the big screen the other night with a friend. We were the only ones in the theatre. What an amazing experience. This piece has always stuck out to me.

There are plenty of adults that say they will never understand the artisty and the visual beauty of this film since they think I've been raised on pure CGI. I saw this as a kid, did not understand the story at the time but I Cried, I cried at how beautifull the music joined up perfectly with the visuals and the miniature effects. THIS FILM SHOULD BE SEEN BY EVERYONE.
