Kevin should be credited for encouraging them to pay more attention to the design of interior.

This shows what imagination, planning and love of a style can produce. The kitchen is absolutely beautiful. Details make this home.

Those upstair wooden beams: paint white and then box clad in opaque / turquoise green glass panels. The wood...as is...ugh. The rest of the house - EXCELLENT!

somewhat ironically I think this is one of the more timeless buildings from this era of the show.

I'd paint those wooden beams in an enamel the same turquoise as the "wing" tiles outside

This house looks like a 1930s airport terminal and I'm here for it

My immediate thought was, with all those bathrooms, kitchen and laundry 4000lts is just a drop in the bucket.
However as there is only two people living in an urban environment at least they can look into the town water supply.
And let’s not forget, it’s England, it rains all the time.
We have a 25000lt tank for just the two of us and when we have a dry summer we definitely run out of water and have to buy in water to get us through to the next rains.
Our last house was in the Art deco style, and we still have our most treasured pieces or Art Deco furnishings.

Well done guys. Outside, 10 out of 10. Kitchen, 11 out of 10 🤪 Dining room, a clean 10. Bathroom, brilliant. The living room furniture doesn't fit at all. Understand your idea about the wooden beams upstairs, doesn't do the rest justice however.

Paint the beams black and it will look amazing

45:56 for Kevin's patented flirty eyebrow raise. Hilarious because it's probably recorded separately as a "reaction reel" to be spliced-in as appropriate in editing. See also the knowing-nod 46:11

If you love art deco, you should go visiting Nancy east of France where art deco wave all started

Miami has the most striking buildings with the lighting and detail. I dont know how that translates to the UK.

Isn't it ironical that the couple building this 'ecofriendly' house is composed of 2 airliner pilots ? 🙄
