When is summer or autumn/spring i try to choose bike.. but lets be honest, in Poland we have very cold winters, and i have my work place far away from my home ( like 35 min ) and i dont see myself in this cold. Little steps are better than one big change. Lets help planet but be also happy that we can use cars/ buses.

Heating things like dryers, electric burners, and hot water use tons of energy too! I feel like that's a good one that people don't talk a lot about. Great list Blue!

I love your list so much! I am so lucky that I live in Nova Scotia where these things are available. These tips are super applicable to me as someone who is trying to live sustainably on a budget. Also I find your voice incredibly soothing ☺️.

Great tips! The short clips of your apartment were also very beautiful. Are you planning on doing a tour? x

I’m getting a manual washer that is also a wringer to cut back on my use of my washer and dryer. It’s also kind of fun and a lovely thing to do. It saves on energy and water.

Blue,

Sensible tips of course but, regarding using public transport, if you live in a rural area like north Devon as I do and you have, then you'll know that the availability of buses and trains will greatly influence the sound advice to use them rather than cars. Here in north Devon the unreliability of existing bus services have been known to force people dedicated to saving the planet to hitch lifts with car drivers (who are often equally concerned about the environment). The same could be said of rural districts all over the country (and the world).

May have missed it but, outside of the Greens, the three main parties seem to have not said a lot about boosting public transport in rural areas (and I'm sure that there's room for improvement in urban areas as well). Great shame.

Best wishes,

Shaun.

I agree with your list. But I would love more in-depth video/info on animal agriculture. It don't have the background knowledge of the "why", to feel comfortable enough to talk about it to others. 😊

Talking about sustainability with the family is good. But don't criticize too much, maybe you scare off them in this way..sustainable gifts or exemplify a more ecofriendly way to live...I think this is a good way to not stress them to much and you can motivated and inspire them

Sorry but not everyone can eat a plant based diet. I'm diabetic, so pastas, beans, potatoes, lentils etc are a major No-go and I'm allergic to soy so soy based products are a no-go too. as for buying groceries, I live in a 150K+ city and all the grocery stores in our area not one single one has bulk or even loose produce nor do they allow for me to bring my own containers for their deli depts and meat. So styrofoam, cling wrapped meat it is. That being said. I've started bringing my own containers when I go to bulk section of 1 of our stores. I use a Klean canteen insulated water bottle and carry my own containers and silverware when I go out, because I normally go out to lunch with friends. Lately we've been going to a store that has an awesome salad bar and filling our own containers. Costs about 10 bucks for a massive stuffed container but we have leftovers for later and its the same amount as eating at a resturant.

Good morning Blue, I was wondering if you or anyone who know could go in depth about medical needs while trying to be low waste and or vegan. Specifically, diabetes. Thanks Blue.
